Sizing Guidelines
As each garment has its own style and critical measurements, we tried to provide you with that information in the product description for each item. Please also note our valuable customer comments under each product description as well as that can often provide you with other customers’ sizing comments as well. Skirts’ product description pages should also provide a list of critical measurements of the various sizes available.
 
Girls Skirts
Most of our skirts have elastic or Lycra waists to make the sizing that much more flexible. However, for the easier reference, our clothes are designed along the following guidelines. Please note that these are for AVERAGE-SIZED children. Heavier, skinnier, taller, or shorter children will need to consider other sizes:

XS (5) - Kindergarten
S(6) - 1st and 2nd Grade
M(8) - 3rd and 4th Grade
L (10) - 5th and 6th Grade
XL (12) - 7th Grade

A few skirts are sized by numbers all the way through 16 & 18, which are teen-ager sizes. Skirts’ product description pages should also provide a list of critical measurements of the various sizes as well. We try to provide relaxed elastic waist and extended ones on the page to provide a sense of the acceptable range of waist sizes.

Adult Skirts

Our adult sizes were made for average adult women. We apologize for not carrying everything in plus sizes at this point. This is definitely something we are developing further as we grow. Most of our skirts are designed for a more flexible fit with elasticized waistbands, stretchier fabrics, and comfortable cuts. Any items running unusually small or large will be stated as such on the specific product description page. The key sizing dimensions are provided for most of our products on the bottom of the product description page.
Women's XS - Women's 2
Women's S - Women's 4 - 6
Women's M - Women's 8
Women's L - Women's 10 - 12
Women's XL - Women's 14

We usually site on the product description page a table of measurements including a relaxed and extended waistband measurement. The relaxed waist is the measurement of the waist when the elastic waistband is sitting loose on a table, for example. The extended measurement should be more than the customer's waist measurement so the skirt will sit comfortably when worn. 

The hip measurement is typically shown at 5 inches below the waist, typically the widest part of the hip measurement.

Girls' and Women's Tops

Unlike our skirts, we do not provide full measurement details for all of our tops on our product description pages. As the layering tops are made with such high Lycra content, giving a relaxed garment measurement would be irrelevant and confusing. We do use the below as our standard sizing guidelines for proper fit. If you wear the standard U.S. shirt sizes below, our sizes should work fine, unless noted otherwise in the description.

Please note many tops are designed to be worn fitted and correct sizing will indeed be fitted.
